Privacy policy

Haseek is an app by Hasik Labs (“we”). This policy explains what personal data Haseek handles, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work. We don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

What we collect and why

Saved reels and the video cache stay on your iPhone and are not sent to us.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for security, abuse prevention and moderation, on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Location is used only after you allow it in iOS, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings.
Who processes your data for us
- Amazon Web Services hosts Haseek in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany), including the database, file storage, sign-in (Amazon Cognito) and email delivery (Amazon SES). Videos and photos are delivered through Amazon CloudFront, which caches public media at locations worldwide.
- Apple distributes the app and provides Sign in with Apple if you choose it.
Where data leaves the EEA (for example, cached public media), it is protected by the safeguards in AWS's data processing terms, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can delete your account yourself in the app under Profile › Delete account. To use any other right, email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Haseek isn't meant for children. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
